I am licensed to practice medicine by New York State. A primary area of interest of mine is Natural Health Care which I believe should be used whenever possible in order to safely and effectively help prevent and cure medical illnesses. However, due to a realization that in this era without the development of certain drugs such as antibiotics the morbidity and mortality of patients would be tragically higher I support a school of thought called Complementary Medicine wherein I believe in many instances when drugs can help save lives they should be used alongside natural health care remedies.

However, in the area of mental health care I am a purist regarding natural health care. I do not support mental hospitals or psychiatric drugs for anyone against their desires. And so I have founded "The Harold Mandel MD Natural Mental Health Care Reform Foundation" which can be found at its link on this Website.

It is my professional position that the single most important factor in good health is good nutrition. Without good nutrition your body and mind can not function properly. In this regard please remember that what may be adequate nutrition for the physical health of you and your children may not be adequate nutrition for your mental health.

I am available to provide professional General Medical Counselling home visit services. The emphasis of my professional services at all times keeps the individual biochemical, psychodynamic, and social needs of each person and family in mind. I am also be available to provide these professional services for businesses and schools. And I am available to provide online counselling services. I also offer meditation lessons and hypnosis to help you relax naturally without drugs. My interest is in helping you to be as healthy as possible in body and mind. I have chosen not to prescribe controlled substances at this time. Referral services for other doctors are offered when this appears to be necessary.

All of my  professional services are provided by appointment only. My standard consultation fee is $55.
